Stay

I sit
very still
for
he is
beautiful
and I
fear he
will leave
if
I move.

This was written for Emily's Imperfect Prose today. Won't you join us?

I LOVE this. Love it. Stillness. Waiting on beauty. The words, the picture, all of it. Thank you for sharing. So good to meet you this morning.

So beautiful Laura. I didn't scroll down to the picture when I began to read, so I held my breath wondering.

There are so many times I react this same way to God . . . overwhelmed by the beauty, afraid to move. Thankfully, He is not so skittish. This was beautiful.

The simplicity is beautiful. Truly captures a moment that most people wouldn't sit still to appreciate.

I had a very Zen Moment you caught me by surprise with your words and then the photo, wow, just brilliant.

There's not a feather out of place. If there were, the beautiful striations of color wouldn't be the same.
The One who knows how many hairs are on my head, has time to take care of his other special creatures in ultimately special ways.
Such beauty goes way beyond words:)

Kind of reminds me of "Be still and know that I am God." What we so often miss in our hustling and bustling about...

I have done this, too. Last time was for a cardinal in brilliant red sitting like a picture in an evergreen. Christmas in July.
