Playdates with God: Light

If you are looking for that perfect place where light stirs water—or searching for that just right place to be…maybe waiting for the right job, the right opportunity, the right person…

You can comb the earth and stand right on her edge—let your toes poke out over the rim…

You won’t find what you are looking for.

Not until you look within—to that place where God dwells inside of you.

Listen.

Do you hear the voice of the Dream Giver?

How do you embrace the God-joy? Every Monday I’ll be sharing one of my Playdates with God. I would love to hear about yours. It can be anything: outside, quiet time. Maybe it’s solitary. Maybe it’s loud and crowded. Just find Him. Be with Him. Grab my button at the bottom of the page and join us:

Beautiful pic's...beautiful words!

Indeed, godly visions are found by looking to God while exploring the visions He has placed in the deep recesses of our hearts.

Thanks for sharing, Laura!

Is that a book you are reading? You have me curious about it now. The title coincides with where the Lord has me right now. Love your photos Laura - gorgeous.

Such lovely ocean photos filled with light. Hope you're having a restful, re-creative vacation!

God is our lovely, loverly, lively Lord. Ah, if only we could "remember" just how awesome he is, how majestic, how filled with All-Light! And yet how he stoops to meet us at our human level, to fill us with his light.

May his bouyancy abound in your family's life.

Oh, "the right." My life is plagued with "the right" sometimes. It's so hard to give up what I've decided is "the right."

But when I do look inside, I'm drawn upward...to His right. The real right.

Hi Laura, Yes we should look within but most look for joy without. I have learned that truly God is the God of the impossible and in the midst of challenges, there is the eye where peace reigns. Patsy from

Oh, yes. I am searching. And thank you for this:

"You can comb the earth and stand right on her edge—let your toes poke out over the rim…

You won’t find what you are looking for."

...because I'm not sure I want to deliberately comb the earth, and especially not bring myself to the edge. :)
