In school I had few friends because I took this verse seriously. I thought it would be a sin to be friends with anyone else who was not a Christian. Sad, but someone should have told me that JESUS was a friend to sinners. They need God's love too.

Hmmm, contemplating what, of the world, I might be embracing too tightly that hinders me from stepping up higher with Him. I heard a message about settling and being comfortable...it rang in my spirit that growing used to the things of this world can hinder me. What might I need to leave behind to walk into the greater things?

I know, Pam. I've been contemplating this very thing. What a wonder this scripture memorization journey has been! So many gems in the book of James. Much love to you...
